MY STORY

Vincent Salvati is a multi-media artist who uses abstraction as a language to portray emotions. Though much of his work is introspective, he gathers inspiration from within as well as from his surroundings and experiences. Salvati received an Associate of Arts degree in Illustration from Pratt Institute. It was during that time that he realized his passion for painting and soon after discovered the limitless nature of abstraction. Salvati investigated and developed this love while receiving a graduate degree from William Paterson University.

Among his many solo and group exhibitions, is his inclusion in the New Jersey Arts Annual twice—once at the Montclair Art Museum and most recently at the NJ State Museum—and a one-person show at the Paterson Museum. He served for seven years on the board of directors for the Jersey City-based non-profit, Pro Arts.

Salvati was born and raised in northern New Jersey where he currently lives.
