MY STORY
Vincent Salvati’s work is mostly abstract in nature and comes from a desire to share emotion through paint, to say the things he can’t say in any other way. His painting is about conveying a feeling, about sparking interest, about finding beauty.
“I want to contribute to the long lineage of what came before me—the art, the artists, and the greater conversation.”
After receiving a degree from Pratt Institute, Salvati discovered the limitless nature of abstraction. He investigated and developed this love while receiving a graduate degree from William Paterson University.
Among his solo and group shows, some he is most proud of are his multiple inclusions in the New Jersey Arts Annual at the Montclair Art Museum and the New Jersey State Museum.
He served for seven years on the board of directors for the Jersey City-based non-profit, Pro Arts.

Salvati was born and raised in northern New Jersey where he currently lives and works.
